As is customary, references are available upon request. But here's what some people have said about Alan's work: He has produced a highly professional product out of the typical jumble of amateur contributions – and always on time, no matter how late the contributions were submitted. Alan demonstrated keen initiative, determination, and persistence to see each project through completion. His open approach to problem solving, his creativity, and professional demeanor has been consistently commendable. Alan is a talented writer and editor. Each writing assignment he submitted was among the top 2% of the class. He writes with clarity, authority, concision, and style. For the team project, he expertly revised and edited the final project, making it a uniform, accurate, and complete final submission. Alan is an open and intelligent academic and a natural scholar whom I would rank in the top 1% of the thousands of college students I have taught in the past twelve years. My feeling is that Alan will add much to his profession in the future and that any employer would be fortunate indeed to obtain Alan. Alan is a very intelligent man, driven by his vision to improve processes and better the company and the department. Ambitious, not monetarily, but in his desire to make things better for all the folks around him, make things easier and more effective - key factors that consistently garnered him the best stats in the entire department. It was easy to work for Alan. I always knew what was expected and what I needed to deliver and he made it easy to thrive. Alan never drops the ball. He gets the job done on time and likes to contribute with his ideas. He's a tremendous asset to the Lone Star Community and I admire him for his drive and dedication. –Melissa P. Haughton, past president of the Lone Star Community of the Society for Technical Communication (2007) Alan took over the webmaster position after I moved to a new position and was able to assume the responsibilities in a seamless and capable manner. His skll set is very well developed and he is terrific person with which to work. –Paul Holland, webmaster at the Lone Star Community of the Society for Technical Communication (2007) |
